Year 6 loved visiting the beach on their residential.
Year 3 Put Their Knowledge To The Test With a Visit to the Mosque, by Mrs Walsh

Year 3 really enjoyed their visit to Cheadle Mosque as they were able to see in reality what they have been learning about in their RE lessons. The children learnt about how Muslims prepare for prayer and about the Quar'an. They also tried writing in Arabic and about Pilgrimage to Mecca.
Thank you to Mrs Malik and the team at Cheadle Masjid for being so accommodating and helping our children develop their understanding of Islam.

Year 1 visit Hale Synagogue, by Mrs Walsh

Year 1 had an informative morning at Hale Synagogue. A member of the congregation shared some key facts about the Jewish faith and the children had time to explore and look at the key features of the synagogue. She was 'wowed' by the children's amazing knowledge!
We were so proud of their impeccable behaviour and involvement during the visit.

Year 6 are up and ready to set off for today's activities.
They've all enjoyed a delicious breakfast and some had a bit of free time first.
The pool and ping-pong tables are a big hit!
Activities today include Rock Climbing, Canoeing and Wilderness Skills.

The are really looking forward to having lots of fun and taking on new challenges, developing in confidence and independence.

Year 2 Return From Their Amazing Adventures in Delamere, by Mrs Walsh

Our Year 2 children really enjoyed their adventures in Delamere.
The children had two days of exciting times including den building, camp fires and nature trails to explore.
Thank you to all the staff who arranged this amazing experience for our children.
Cross Country - Fantastic Team Results, by Mrs Walsh

Our cross-country teams were in action at the Carrs, in Wilmslow.
The children were challenges with a difficult course, competing against all the other Wilmslow schools.
3 of our teams secured 2nd places in the small schools competitions and one came 3rd.
Fantastic results and great team spirit and endurance was on display.

Winning Team at Performance Poetry, by Mrs Walsh

The AECPS won the Yr6 and under Group category in the Performance Poetry section of the Alderley Edge Festival
They were delighted and so thrilled, as are we! The adjudicator was extremely complimentary of their performance, clarity, character and story-telling. The group was invited to take part in the Gala event at the Festival Hall in the evening!
They have brought the winners cup back to keep at school.
Year 3 Enjoy Strings Lessons, by Mrs Walsh

Year 3 had a fantastic first String session.
They have learnt the string names of their instruments, how to hold and play their instruments and how to pluck the strings.
They listened really well and even managed to play their first song Chocolate Treats. They all really enjoyed the session and can't wait for next week!
Year 5 and 6 Learn All About Air Pollution with Cheshire East Environment Team, by Mrs Walsh

Year 5/6 had the opportunity to explore how bad air quality can be caused in the local area around school.
They learned a lot in how to prevent poor air quality, and what they can do on a daily basis to combat pollutants, such as: walking to school and using public transport.
AECPS Choir Awarded 2nd Place in Alderley Edge Festival, by Mrs Walsh

What a stunning performance from our choir who secured 2nd place in the Alderley Edge Festival Choir competition.
The children sang 2 contrasting pieces with confidence and a beautiful tone.
Year 1 Travel Back in Time at Quarry Bank Mill, by Mrs Walsh

Year 1 had a fantastic learning experience at Styal Mill.
The children were able to travel back in time and learn all about the Gregg family and their legacy on the cotton trade and in the local area.
We are so proud of the children and their behaviour which was exemplary and highly praised by the staff at Styal Mill.

The children enjoyed rope challenges, stream scrambling and climbing.
They showed courage, determination and team work.

What a Fantastic Start to Whitehall, by Mrs Walsh

Year 4 have had an amazing first day at Whitehall.
The children unpacked then started their first round of activities.
After a delicious evening meal, they undertook a night walk using their orienteering and OS map skills to navigate the route.
The day ended with hot chocolate and now they are all off to bed to sleep..... hopefully!

Year 1 were visited by Rev Pye and members of the Mothers' Union from St Philip and St James.
They have kindly donated a class set of Bibles to school which were gratefully received by the Year 1 children, on behalf of KS1.
We are very appreciative.

Safety Conscious Year 6, by Mrs Walsh

Year 6 spent the afternoon at Crucial Crew event in Macclesfield.
They learnt all about personal safety including carbon monoxide poisoning, the harmful affects of smoking and alcohol and water safety.
The children really enjoyed the event and could share their new knowledge back in school.
Magical Musical Showcase at AECPS, by Mrs Walsh

We have such talented children at AECPS who were able to showcase their musical talents on our Magical Musical Day.
All the children performed their musical pieces including songs and instrumental performances they had learn in their lessons to the rest of the school.
During lunch time, Mrs Aiken and Dr Sparks performed to the classes and children could join in the 'jamming session' for playground performances.
After school, the orchestra and soloists had the opportunity to perform to parents to conclude this wonderful day.
