AECPS Celebrate The Queen's Platinum Jubilee
The whole school celebrated the Platinum Jubilee in style with a special picnic on the playground.
The children and staff were welcomed on to the playground by Mr Richardson who is a Welsh Guard Fusillier playing his snare drum.
The children also created a whole school pebble art work.I Every child in school had painted a single stone. Individually each stone did not create anything in particular but together all the stones made a fabulous piece of art work, demonstrating that together we can, 'Make a Difference.'
During the celebration, the children performed songs and year 6 read aloud a letter of thanks they had written to Queen Elizabeth.
Finally, the School Councillors planted a special Jubilee Tree, donated to school by Ebony Errington-Beech, a former pupil.
To end the celebrations the children had a visit from a very special guest and sang the national anthem.
What a wonderful way to celebrate our Queen's 70th year of reign.
