Summer Reading Challenge
Dear Parents and Children,
At the beginning of July, the children were lucky enough to have a visit from Alderley Edge library to explain about the Summer Reading Challenge they are hosting.
Children are invited to take part in the challenge over the Summer holidays. All children need to do is head to their local library – Alderley Edge or wherever is convenient – sign up to the competition, and get reading! Don’t worry if you haven’t joined in already you can start anytime.
The library will give children a booklet, which can be stamped upon their completion of reading any book at all. The theme of this year’s challenge is READY, SET, READ! However, the books that children choose to read do not need to be sports based, any book is eligible for the challenge.
In September, there will be a prize of 50 House Points upon returning to school in September, for any child who completes the challenge and provides their completed, stamped booklet.
Good luck everyone! Don’t forget, READY, SET, READ!
Yours sincerely
Miss Hibbert
