Quick Christmas Poetry Competition for All

Dear Children and Parents,
Waitrose, Alderley Edge has gifted our school some of their Christmas story books that link to their new Christmas advert, all about being at home for Christmas. We would like to invite the children to take part in a Christmas Poetry competition in order to win one of these books!
We would ask that your poem is done in the style of a Quatrain. A quatrain is a single verse poem of 4 lines. Your poem can rhyme if you’d like it to, or not, that is your creative choice. All we ask is that it is no more than four lines long, and reminds us about the Christmas or Winter.
Amongst all the decorations,
And celebrations each season,
We should all look past these things,
And embrace for the true reason.
Use the opportunity to throw yourself into the season by writing poetry, and possibly entering into a chance to win a new book.
Please send in your poem before Thursday 21st December 2023.
