Local News - Transport Survey Tuesday 12th November

We have been advised that Transport Data Specialists have been commissioned to undertake a traffic survey in Alderley Edge.  It is their company policy to inform local schools of such surveys due to the use of cameras hence this email.

The traffic survey involves the use of  traffic survey cameras to record the vehicle interaction and usage. They will be covering the following junctions:

• B5359      Ryleys Lane/B5087 London Road/B5359 Wilmslow
• A34      Pendleton Way/A34 Melrose Way/B5359 Alderley Road/Alderley Road
• B5087      London Road/Chapel Road/Macclesfield Road/Congleton Road/Chorley Hall      Lane/George Street

The cameras are designed for traffic and pedestrian surveys but the quality is low and therefore not fit for facial recognition. The cameras will be installed later tonight, will record on Tuesday between 0700-0945 & 1600-1845, and the cameras will be picked up on Tuesday evening.

There will be company staff on site to undertake queue surveys manually who will be wearing high viz-vests. If you have any questions please contact the staff onsite.
