Harvest Festival - Friday 25th October 2024
Dear Parents,
This year we will hold a Harvest Celebration on Friday 25th October at 9.30 am at St Philip and St James Church. Parents are very welcome to attend. Each class will perform a short poem or a prayer based on the theme of Harvest.
Every year we choose a charity to support and this year we are supporting our local church charity. This amazing group of volunteers provide emergency food packages for people living in our immediate area. This is particularly relevant during these tricky times.
By choosing to support this charity, we hope to promote and instil within the children the understanding that they can make a difference and share what we have with those who find themselves in times of difficulty.
We would appreciate it if you would send in 1 or 2 (or more) non-perishable food items on Friday 25th October (see suggestions at the bottom of this letter) and these will then be distributed by members of the parish. This year there is a list of specific items that would be gratefully received, see the bottom of this letter.
We would ask that these items be placed in the pink buckets at the front of school/ playground, please do not send the items in!
As always, we thank you for your continued support.
Kind regards
Melanie Rose
