Dear Visitor
I am pleased you are expressing an interest in Alderley Edge Community Primary School (a Cheshire East Council School) by looking at our website. We have designed this website to give you some information about school life and the wide range of opportunities that we offer to the children.
The school's aims and philosophy are outlined in our Mission Statement and School Aims. The Mission Statement and Aims reflect our commitment to effective learning in a happy, trusting and inclusive environment.
Alderley Edge Community Primary School works as a team in which parents, children, staff, governors and the wider community are all involved in the education of our children. Our school is based on the principle that children learn best in a positive, encouraging, safe and secure atmosphere.
Our children, through School Council, have formed their own (and now our own) strapline based on what our fundamental beliefs are in school. This strapline is 'making a difference' and is intended to demonstrate what we are all doing in school whether it be helping others, fundraising or simply working hard. Whatever it is we can all make a difference.
You are most welcome to come along and visit, to meet me and ask any questions about school life and education at our school. Please telephone the school office to make an appointment.
If you would prefer to receive a paper copy of any of the information on our school website then please contact the school office.
I look forward to meeting and working with you.
Yours sincerely
Lindsey Walsh (Headteacher)
